Wanda Jeffcoat, MS, LPC-MH, CCMHC
Wanda offers support to individuals, couples, and families who are affected by the struggles of daily life such as stress, anxiety, depression, or those who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. Wanda encourages clients to find the balance and the path that is right for their own individual needs and lifestyle choices.
Wanda works with clients from a person-centered approach in whatever method or modality is most beneficial to them. She offers a non-judgmental perspective, unconditional support, and genuine encouragement for clients, regardless of where they are at on their journey. She incorporates mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, and EMDR into treatment where beneficial and applicable. She has advanced training in using EMDR to treat anxiety/phobias, childhood trauma, domestic abuse, complex PTSD, and military/combat related trauma. She is skilled at incorporating creative arts, sand tray therapy, and other unique forms of expression to provide an alternative to traditional “talk therapy.”
Wanda does community and group presentations on Suicide Awareness/Prevention for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and is a certified CAMS (Collaborative Approach to Managing Suicidality) provider. She works side by side with clients who are experiencing thoughts of suicide and/or have attempted suicide using the evidence-based and widely renowned CAMS framework.
